Tron Bonne, middle child of the Bonne air pirate family and rival of Mega Man.
Risky Boots, Queen of the Seven Seas and foe of the half-genie Shantae.
Captain Syrup, leader of the Brown Sugar Gang and enemy of everyone's favourite Super Wario.
Propeller Knight, air-dashing member of the Order of no Quarter in the fight against Shovel Knight.
Oh hoy there, mateys! Welcome aboard a new year of prediction blogs! We're excited to steer you into this batch, but before that, we have to decide who our captain should be, don't we? We gathered the four best of the best to solve that question, and boy are they more than ready to settle this debate! Get ready to bow and grovel, because the captains have arrived, and it's time to pledge your alliance.
Before We Begin
Okay, let us explain some things going in because this one is a LOT. First off, I want everyone to congratulate the new research team on their first ever blog outing! (yaaaay!)
Alright, tone it back with the congratulations, they don't deserve that many. Let's talk about pirates instead. For this blog, we have decided to go with as comprehensive of an approach as possible, meaning that all combatants have had their entire mythos examined, mainly focused on their original games, but also with the likes of spin-offs and supplementary media included. And whilst you may have already figured it out from the nature of the combatants, it’s important to mention that they will all be given access to all of their weapons and troops from across their voyages. Like said, we’re doing a comprehensive deep-dive here, and we didn’t want to leave any stone unturned.
For Tron Bonne, this extends to the entirety of the original Mega Man universe, including the classic era games, X era games, books such as Megamix and Gigamix, various comic / manga adaptions, and of course, our primary material of the Mega Man Legends games and the Misadventures of Tron Bonne. The Legends series also have a small number of their own manga adaptations, and spin-offs like Rockman DASH Golf and even that weird Taiwanese game where applicable. Finally, Tron’s appearance in the Marvel vs Capcom franchise has also been included in our research (albeit, primarily for the purpose of analysing her own capabilities, rather than proper crossover scaling).
Risky Boots is easier to cover. Her material extends simply to the six Shantae games (including the recently released Risky Revolution) and their guidebooks, as well as the swimsuit comic special. A 7th game was announced during the planning for this blog, and if it puts Risky at hyperdimensional, we'll be sure to inform you in the future.
When it comes to Captain Syrup, while we took a look at the wider Mario franchise, we mainly opted to stick to the Wario sub-series in terms of games. However, due to Syrup's limited number of appearances even there, we also included any supplementary material where she has more presence. This mainly extends to the Super Mario Kodansha manga as well as her few appearances in Super Mario-Kun and Mario no BĆken land while disregarding any of the insane scaling she gets exclusively from those alternative continuities.
- Important Note: The Kodansha Super Mario manga is still largely untranslated and has very little documentation online, so it's entirely possible, if not even likely, that we may have misinterpreted some information or missed it outright. We did our best with what we could, and we want to give a massive shoutout to the Super Mario Wiki for providing what we can only assume to be accurate transcripts for most volumes.
And finally, Propeller Knight, who is arguably the most simple character to cover. We will be considering the mainline Shovel Knight quadrilogy, as well as Showdown, Dig, Pocket Dungeon, and other side stories. In terms of scaling regarding a certain God of War, our stances on it will be made clear in the blog proper.
With all that said, lift the anchor and set your sails as we head into this massive project of a blog.

It all began long ago... in what we call the present! Sometime during the 20th century, mechanical doctors Thomas Light and Albert Wily began creation of artificial intelligence potent enough to mimic organic life, and it was a success! However, it didn't take long for Wily to grow jealous of his partner, as he reprogrammed the robots and tried to take over the world. But in an attempt to stop him, Light reprogrammed one of his old bots into what would become the famous peacekeeper we all know and love: Mega Man!
Flash forward say, give or take, a couple hundred years, and the world is in absolute ruin. The great flood wiped out nearly all life on the planet, and forced humanity to near extinction, with only small, scattered islands capable of housing whatever little life remained on the globe. With everything absolutely royally fucked, treasure hunters named Diggers would try to find a source of infinite energy for humankind known as the Mother Lobe.
But that's uninteresting, so let's talk about pirates instead! The Bonne family of air pirates didn't like the idea of being forced to dig for resources, and so they instead opted for stealing from others, the objectively better method of getting what you want. And from the Bonne family comes the ingenious mechanic, airship pilot, and certified best girl: Tron Bonne.
Some time following a certain misadventure, Tron and her family attacked Kattelox island in search of their usual goal (Riches), though things didn't go as smoothly as she had liked when she got a dog sent after her and was forced to take refuge on a light pole. But unexpectedly, who would come to her rescue if not Mega Man!... Volnutt! (Trigger, actually, but he didn't know that at the time).
And so began an honesty not that long lasting rivalry between the two, with the arrogant and full of herself Tron not quite being capable of registering her fluctuating emotions towards MegaMan, whilst Volnutt simply wanted to rediscover his lost memories and return to his previous task in life. The two would do battle several times, until Tron was forced to ally with Mega Man's adoptive sister Roll in order to build a rocket to rescue Volnutt (he was stuck on the moon at the time). In spite of their criminal ways, the Bonnes were never really bad guys, and Tron would show that real hidden side as they worked towards their goal, ensuring the safety of MegaMan, and in turn the entire world.
But still, Tron Bonne and her brothers are well known for a reason, and should you ever see their ship approaching across the skies, then you better hide your valuables well, cause they won't hesitate to strip you for all that you own before you can even register what's happening.
Risky Boots
- Full Name: Risky Boots
- Age: 20+
- Height: 140 cm / 4'7"
- Mentored by the Pirate Master
- Claims herself as Queen of the Seven Seas
- Likes: Wealth, power, herself, hot baths, Shantae (sometimes)
- Dislikes: Shantae (all other times), The Pirate Master, The Empress Siren, small cakes, lawmen, ponytails, scrapbooking, puppies, whole grains, paperwork, emoticons, vegetables, anything that you like.
- Grade A hater
Sequin Land is quite the unusual place, a world of magic housing all sorts of strange and mythic things. So it says a lot then, that through all of the mystics and Legends, the most revered name across the land is the pirate captain Risky Boots.
Taught by the cruel Pirate Master, Risky did what every good pirate would do when their mentor passed away, by stealing his crew, weapons, and ship. (He’s a dick dw). What matters is that she brought fear and terror across the land, as she and her army of Tinkerbats plundered to their hearts content. That is until she one day met the one person who would go on to become a thorn in her side for the rest of her pirating days, everyone's favourite Half-Genie Hero: Shantae!
Although the two's rivalry became essentially part of both’s everyday life moving forwards, it wouldn't stop Risky from getting up to her usual shenanigans. Whether it be attempting total world domination, trying to conquer all of magic, or even teaming up with her frenemy from time to time, it's safe to say that no part of the Seven Seas is safe from Risky Boots.
Captain Syrup
- Full Name: Captain Maple Syrup
- Age: N/A
- Height: N/A
- When not pirating, runs an item shop
- Captain of the Brown Sugar Gang
- Likes: Wario, money, thieving
- Dislikes: Wario, lawmen, other pirates, Bowser
The Mushroom Kingdom has its fair share of deadly threats. From the tyrannical king Bowser Koopa, to aliens, ghosts, slave owners, and what else have you. But there's one more that may not be your first choice, sailing the seas with command over the Brown Sugar gang is the one and only Captain Maple Syrup (yes that's actually her name).
Little to basically literally nothing is known about Syrup's life other than her preferred way of making money, which at this point you might be able to guess is looting and stealing from others, even once managing to steal from Princess Peach herself. But all that moneygrabbing attracted the attention of a certain other moneygrabber: Wario.
And so Wario did as Wario does, attacking Syrup's crew head on and stealing from them as much as he could carry. Syrup would return the favour later by invading Wario's castle, turning it from a one off encounter into a full fledged rivalry, spanning… ok just those two games really…
Although, over time their rivalry would meddle out a little, with the two even teaming up on one occasion (if you could really call it that) to take on the evil Shake King. Well, maybe not, because once Wario got the loot, Syrup swiped it from his hands and rode off, never to be seen again. Ah, if that isn't the pirates dream.
But one day, Syrup and her Brown Sugar Gang may just resurface from obscurity. And once they do, you can bet that you'll be left penniless.
Propeller Knight
- Full Name: N/A
- Age: N/A
- Height: N/A
- Former member of the Order of No Quarter
- Professional Military and Airship Commander
- Likes: Piracy, swordsmanship, wine, roses
- Dislikes: Laws, shovels, chickens, nail polish
- Not actually French
- Somehow snuck his way onto the blog over May
In a world far away from our own, the lands remain wild and unkept, adventurers and warriors roaming in search of treasure and glory. The country of Landurr was no different, however its mysterious and wondrous landscape changed forever one day when a dark amulet fell from the skies. From this enigmatic medallion rose the spirit of the Enchantress, an evil warlock who sought to conquer the world. Thankfully, she was bested, and sealed within the walls inside the Tower of Fate.
Eons later, a criminal group known as the Hexcavators took note of the amulet, and sought to harvest its power for themselves. Although several tried to stop them, they were successfully able to excavate the Tower of Fate, allowing the Enchantress to escape her capture and begin plotting for domination once more.
In order to assist her takeover, the Enchantress put together the Order of no Quarter, a villainous group of knights who would do her bidding. And part of this group was the one, the only, the française, Propeller Knight, commander of the airship armada.
Prior to joining the Enchantress' forces, Propeller Knight was merely a lowly pirate trying to take control over the skies, causing him to come into conflict with the free natured Cooper, his sworn rival. However, as part of the Order of no Quarter, he would be something greater.
...if only that dastardly Shovel Knight didn't show up to take the Enchantress and her knights down, which he did without breaking a sweat. Even in a full on 1v8 tag team against the blue burrower, he still mopped the floor with them, and then ended the Enchantress' tyranny, once more bringing peace to the land.
And although one may have expected the prideful and arrogant Propeller Knight to be in devastation over this loss... he actually took it pretty well. Not only did he congratulate Shovel Knight on his victory, but he swore off his attempts to dominate the sky forever. It seems that glory wasn't what he sought after all, as he now simply stays on his Flying Machine, travelling the world and enjoying a carefree life of hosting extravagant parties.
Oh, and a little pirating on the side, of course. The man has to make a living somehow!
Skill and Abilities
Tron Bonne
Engineering & Tinkering
Tron has on numerous occasions been described as a mechanical engineering genius. She's a master of putting together complex machinery of all shapes and sizes, whether it be giant battle mechs capable of annihilating buildings, enormous warships the size of a town, or robots capable of mimicking human thought and genuine life. It's been stated that she is the brains behind every one of the Bonne's machinery, technology comparable to that of the Ancients Master System and no doubt in the same league as the cybertronics developed by genius doctors responsible for the birth of artificial life to begin with.
Leadership & Strategising
Outside of building stuff, Tron also has expertise in commanding said creations of hers. While she usually lets her older brother be in charge of planning, she is the frequent voice of reason in the family and often aids in the development of their plans and getting around the obstacles in them. When she was momentarily put as the sole person in charge, she showcased just how well she can map out missions and heists by taking full control over the situation within moments. The Servbots trust her every word with their lives after all, and that trust is vital when in the piracy business.
Risky Boots
Strategizing & Manipulation
A good pirate must always be prepared to employ the dirtiest of trickery. Risky has frequently used those around her for her own benefit, all mere pawns in her game. With a simple disguise, she tricked Shantae into collecting the final Elemental Stone for her and leaving her guard open, allowing Risky to steal all of the stones in one go. By appealing to the zombie need for brains, she got the Zombie Caravan to betray Shantae and kidnap her Uncle Mimic. She even managed to trick an ENTIRE CITY into believing she was Mayor by playing the role from DAY 1 all in order to eventually acquire the Ship of the Seven Sirens.
When you're up against Risky Boots, always stay on your toes. You never know who'll be the one stabbing you in the back…
Dark Magic
As the apprentice of the Pirate Master, Risky Boots possesses some degree of Dark Magic. In her campaign in Half-Genie Hero, the Pirate Queen’s Quest, she can utilize this magic to heavily amplify her health and equipment, as well as letting her summon her beloved Tinkerbats at will to assist in combat.
Captain Syrup
Thievery

Syrup may just be the most traditional pirate of the lot here, so it makes sense that she's probably the one most experienced with good old fashioned thievery. Be it guarded museums or even Princess Peach's castle, Syrup is sure to be able to worm her way in and rob the place clean.Propeller Knight
Acrobatic Swordsmanship
Propeller Knight's name isn't that literal for nothing. Atop his head sits a large propeller, and boy does the knight know how to use it, gracefully swooping through the air with his rapier (Likely trained in French fencing). He's prone to quick dives, jabs, and flying stabs, among other manoeuvres.
Saber Lunge
Said manoeuvres include a counter ability, the suave knight parrying attacks up close or at a range and lunging in for a piercing strike.
Double Jump
When he can’t be bothered to truly take to the skies, Propeller Knight can give a short spin of his blades for a quick boost upwards.
Corkscrew Kick
And if you’re not worth dirtying his gloves or blade, Propeller Knight can introduce his boot to your face with a Corkscrew Kick! A speedy technique where his propeller blows him downward at high-speeds, making for great evasive strikes.
Ships / Bases
Tron Bonne
Gesselschaft
Unfortunately, that dastardly Mega Man decided to come along and blow the whole thing to pieces. But while they would go on to use its remains for an escape vehicle, the Gesselschaft reappears properly in promotional art for the now cancelled Legends 3, suggesting that they were able to reconstruct it at some point.
Risky Boots
Tinker Tub
Risky's Steam Powered Oceanic Tinker Tub (S.P.O.T.T.) has gone through a couple iterations, but the Tinker Walker from Risky's Revenge is the most recent and impressive version. Equal parts pirate ship and equal parts weird, land walking machine, it's the perfect vessel for any sea and landfarer. Of course, it's got a cannon on the top that Risky controls, but it can also spit out explosive barrels and fire an anchor from the front. Tinkerslug
Following the Tinker Tub's destruction, Risky went back to the drawing board, and came up with... this abomination. Risky simply took a massive sea slug that she found... somewhere, and mounted her new ship atop it, and thus, the Part Omni-Organic, Partially Titanic, Ocean-Optimal Tinkerslug (P.O.O.P.T.O.O.T.) was born.
Risky's Hideout
Risky has used a couple of locations as her home turf over the years, but her best base of operations was definitely her hideout from Half-Genie Hero. A fusion of volcano and factory, Risky used this to house the Tinkerbrain (more on that later), and outfitted it with dangerous terrain of all types to stop Shantae from interfering. It didn't work.
Captain Syrup
S.S Tea Cup
Captain Syrup's original ship, and quite the ordinary one to boot. Aside from having the usual cannons and minions aboard, it's just a wooden boat... which explains how Wario sank it so easily. Oops!
The Sweet Stuff
Syrup's second ship, and the one she used during her time in the Shake Dimension as a shopkeep. Due to her role in that game, the offensive capabilities of this here vessel is unknown, but it's fair to assume it likely has a few cannons... and six week old curry! Yum!
Syrup Castle
Now we're talking. Syrup Castle is the Captain's ideal lair of choice, smack filled with traps, minions, and dangers of all kinds. Only the force capable of matching an overweight, garlic-smelling Italian is capable of getting through this dungeon to reach Syrup, allowing her to rest pettily in her bedroom while her crew dukes it out for her.
Propeller Knight
The Flying Machine
Propeller Knight always had a thing for luxury, and the Flying Machine embodies that to a T, plated with gold and extravagance. The Flying Machine seems to have been designed to throw off anyone without the ability to fly to venture through it, as it features massive chasms between segments, unstable falling platforms, fans to knock intruders off, and you guessed it, cannons!
Equipment
Tron Bonne
Beacon Bombs
Perhaps the most important staple of Tron's arsenal are the Beacon Bombs. Not because of being actual explosives like the name implies, but rather because they serve as a reliable way for Tron to command her servbots. Wherever the beacon lands, the bots will home in and clean house!
Usually, these are depicted as being sent from the Gustaff's head or chest, but as shown above, she can also fire them as projectiles from a handgun.
Gustaff
Tron’s bread and butter, the Gustaff is the signature fighting mech that she most often pilots into battle. It can carry and toss massive boulders with its right arm, and thanks to its modular capabilities, it can swap out the left one for a multitude of different weapons; such as its standard Search Cannon, an energy blaster whose projectiles home in on its targets. Meanwhile, its Gatling Gun fires in spurts, and if a shot from the Bonne Bazooka hits you, it's gonna hurt.
Gustaff (Combat Mode)
When Tron made her way into the Marvel vs Capcom series, she debuted this all new version of the Gustaff. Shrunk down to better suit its new gameplay requirements, the MvC Gustaff is essentially the result of Tron cramming every weapon she could think of into a singular mech, all surrounded by metal plating durable enough to withstand as many Hadoukens as you can imagine. These weapons include things such as saws, drills, flamethrowers, jet thrusters, springs, cannons, propellers, and then some!
Hover Gustaff

The Hover Gustaff is a special upgrade Tron developed to explore the Saul Kada Ruins, capable of floating over the deadly terrain and soaring above enemy heads. It carries with it a combination of all the standard Gustaff’s weapons, but now also sports both a deadly flamethrower and protective shield.Gustaff Tank

When Tron needs to prioritise brute strength, she rides out in the Gustaff Tank. Built exclusively for the function of carrying durable objects, its raw power is unmatched, but it doesn’t come with any weapons.Finkel
In my humble opinion, the Finkel is Tron’s best creation. It’s a flying little camera in the shape of a piggy that can make squeaky sounds in order to distract enemies. Quite frankly, perfect.
Items & Consumables
Self-explanatory. These are the different support items Tron can use for a positive boost!
- E. Bottles: Provides energy recharges for Tron’s mechs. The E. Bottle 4 gives a complete health and energy recovery.
- Green Apples: Tron likes her greens. Whenever needed, she can snack down for a nice and quick extra 256 HP.
- Refractors: Large crystals that grant incredible energy for machinery when spun at high speeds. As a pirate, the Bonne’s have naturally picked up a large number of these such as the holy Aurora Stones, the valuable Diana’s Tear, and the enormous Proto-Refractor! They, uh…. usually sell these… and waste the money immediately…
Drache
The most standard of Bonne machinery. Drache’s are certainly able to deal offensive damage, but they’re most commonly used for transportation and recovery missions. Capable of flying at speeds of 518 km/h, it can sweep in and pick up Tron’s crew at any trouble’s notice.
Kalmare

Unmanned squid bots that are built for one simple purpose: Blowing shit up! They attack solely by floating at their enemies and self-destructing after a few seconds, but if they're destroyed by an outside influence, they will instead release a paralysing gas.Ferdinand
The first mech we see Tron pilot in the series. With its four powerful legs and rotating center, the Ferdinand can spin to win into its targets with incredible force, and when it does feel like attacking properly, has plenty of guns, grenades, and flamethrowers to do so.
Balkon GerÀt
After stealing all of Wily’s (not him) boats, Tron combined them into this weird looking thing. Piloted by all three Bonnes, it comes strapped with the standard Bonne artillery of missiles, bombs, torpedoes, and energy shots, with its amphibious nature allowing for use on both water and land! In fact, this machine is so impressive
Focke-Wulf
When the Gesselschaft was destroyed, the Bonnes proved their preparedness by emerging in another aerial vehicle, the certainly-not wolf inspired Focke-Wulf! It can fly at just over half the speed of sound, and… odds are that you can already guess it’s weapon loadout by now.
Jagd Krabbe
The only unique mech that we see Tron piloting in the second game, she… certainly made a choice by using the Jagd Krabbe. Just like normal crab, it can send hailstorms of bullets in every direction, attack with damaging ground smashes, and crawl from side to side.
Theodore Bruno
Roughly translating to “Armour of God” Theodore Bruno is the Bonne’s final trump card, Tron’s self-proclaimed masterpiece and greatest creation and piloted by the three siblings in perfect unison. Weighing 53 tons and having been constructed using the energy of an entire power plant, Bruno obliterated the warehouse it was stored in just by standing up, and can annihilate buildings by walking into them. On the offensive side, Bruno is essentially strapped with every weapon you expect to see from the Bonne’s by now, including all sorts of bombs and missiles, as well as several gatling guns and massive energy cannons. Sword

And you thought she'd be the only one here without one.Risky Boots
Sword
For all of her slicing and dicing needs, Risky wields a wicked cool scimitar as her main weapon of choice that she's skilled enough with to throw like a boomerang. Not much else to say, but man, it looks awesome. Pistol
Hat
Take three guesses what Risky uses her hat as. That's right, a parachute! (You did guess correctly, right?). By holding it over her head whilst in the air, Risky can use the headwear to safely glide around and cover large distances. Boots
The second half of her namesake, Risky's Boots are not only stylish, but also a great method of transportation! N-not just because they're footwear, but because they increase her speed! Risky can even use them to charge up a powerful dash attack with her sword.
Explosives
In addition to her classic explosive barrels and cannons, Risky also carries timed explosives on hand that erupt into large pillars of fire upon detonation.
Cannon
Grappling Hook
Rope
For all enemy binding means!
Anchor
Healing Items

Thanks to a brief dip into playable character status, Risky has access to a number of food items she can chomp down on if her health (or hunger!) ever runs low.- Pirate Flare: A firework rocket that acts as a signal for the Tinkerbats to take her back to her ship.
- Rancid Jam: A really gross jam, heals 1/6 HP.
- Juicy Melon: Yummy melon! Heals 1/3 HP.
- Corndog: Heals 1/2 HP.
- Tuna Roll: Heals 2/3 HP.
- Tentacle: Pretty fuckin’ gross, but completely heals Risky's HP to full!
Steam Engine
Ancient technology unearthed by Shantae’s Unc Mimic and promptly stolen by Risky Boots, the Steam Engine is a mighty power supply, heating water to blast steam with enough pressure to make a wheel turn indefinitely! With this method of nigh-infinite energy, Risky would be able to rule forever… But she required something else to ensure her plans succeeded.
Elemental Stones
These elemental stones were key in Risky’s first ever plot. They are ancient relics, four in total, each with amazing unique elemental properties.
The Dribble Stone of Water Town could generate endless amounts of water, giving Risky an infinite supply for her Steam Engine.
The Golem Stone is fabled for being unbreakable, and is said to be the only metal in the world capable of withstanding the power of the other Stones.
The Simmer Stone, fabled for burning endlessly. With it, the water generated by the Dribble Stone could burn eternally, the Steam Engine always running.
The Twinkle Stone represents Ice but Risky didn’t really infodump about what it was for oops…
With their powers combined, these stones allowed Risky to master steam technology and create the ultimate war machine:
TinkerTank
Behold, the All-Purpose, Steam-Powered, TINKERTANK! This weapon of mass destruction is virtually indestructible, capable of easily destroying any of Sequin Land’s towns so that Risky could rule over all land and sea! It is unstoppable, almighty!
…However, it does possess a weakness. If one were to enter the Tinkertank, and destroy the Steam Engine within, the entire structure would fall apart and detonate, destroying the Tinkertank in its entirety.
Tremor Engine
At one point in her career in piracy, Risky came up with an extremely diabolical scheme. Why bother going to locations in Sequin Land far away from any harbor she could invade through, when she could make the locations come straight to her? Enter her Tremor Engine! Through this elaborate contraption planted deep underground, she could forcefully move the land and warp the positions of entire landmasses, taking the treasures she desired straight towards her. Tinkerworm

But the Tremor Engines are nothing more than a single step in her true plan. After all, why bother moving the land, when she can travel under it? Enter the Big-brainy, Sub-terrainy, High-Flying, Deep-Diving, Tectonic-Tunneling, Acid-drooling, Sequin Land-ruling, Totally Terrorizing Tinkerworm! Piloted by Risky and her “trusty” Muck Lords, it can dig through all of Sequin Land and is equipped with various cannons to bombard any foe that dares to come close to her! With this, she would rule the land forever! …Until Shantae completely destroyed it. Figures.Magic Lamp

When her arch-enemy is a genie, it's no surprise that Risky eventually got her hands on a magic lamp of her own. With this one in particular, she could suck up and enslave any Genie she came across, forcing them to grant any wish the owner of the lamp might have. When used on a Half Genie like Shantae, it can forcefully strip them of their magic, separating human and genie entirely.Trapped Bathtub

Quite the situational tool, Risky has a booby(heh)trap bathtub that she can use to trap those who want to take a bath. That's it. It's a bathtub that traps you.Captain Syrup
Sword

Or maybe it's a knife? Seems a little short, but you can be sure it does the job regardless! Syrup doesn't wield a blade often, but it's a classic pirate weapon to have on hand, and really, are you gonna NOT have a sword?Spear

For when the sword's pathetic reach doesn't get far enough, Syrup also sometimes carries a spear on hand to poke targets.Bombs

They fuckin explode, mate.Recovery Potion

If Syrup ever runs out of health, she can use a recovery potion to quickly heal up and stay in the fight! She usually sells these at her shop, but nothing's stopping her from using them herself.Bottomless Coin Sack

The prized treasure of the Shake Dimension, the Bottomless Coin Sack is a magical bag that contains a never-ending deluge of gold coins. While Wario was able to retrieve it as loot for defeating the Shake King, Syrup made off with it shortly after the adventure’s conclusion.Model 01

The first of three machines that Syrup piloted to confront Wario in her second campaign against him. This one could deploy minions as well as fire powerful fire bombs, all while staying away from Wario himself. Unfortunately, their fight took place over plenty of fire geysers that could severely damage Syrup's mech when combined with her own weaponry. Back to the drawing board.Model 02
Her second model played an even less direct role, serving exclusively as a source of fuel for her Mecha Kuri minion, who needs a constant charge of electricity to operate. This meant Syrup had to be extra close to the action and was right in range for Wario to toss Mecha Kuri directly at her… back to the drawing board.
Model 03

The ultimate final model for the final clash against Wario! Complete with a glass dome to protect Syrup from damage (that breaks in three hits), Syrup launches even more bombs at Wario! …He grabbed the bombs and threw them at her again, didn't he.
Fire whoever's taking care of the drawing board.
Fairy Bell

A strange bell that can open magical portals when rung. Syrup briefly had this in the Kodansha manga, though she never actually used it.Car

Her primary escape vehicle, Syrup owns a pretty snazzy car that she can use to get out of any bad situation in a pinch.Submarine

Well, maybe not any, for if she needs to go under water, she owns her own personal mini submarine as well!Helicopter

And just to finish the trifecta off, she's got a micro helicopter too. It lacks any offensive means, and is simply used for traversal.Train

She just... really likes her wacky vehicles, huh? Syrup and her gang uses this train to transport their stolen goods across where her ship can't go, and it can move with surprising speed and seemingly the lack of any fuel.
Mario blew it up.
Hamster Ball

And finally, if her garage gets empty, Syrup can turn herself into the vehicle, using this hamster-style ball to roll away from danger in a last ditch escape attempt.Propeller Knight
Armour and Gear

Why would anyone take the title of knight if they can’t look absolutely dashing? Propeller Knight sports a dashing outfit, comfortable and prim, with kneeguards and wonderful shoulder tassels! But above all else, it’s a perfect outfit for fencing! And despite holding no honor as one, he’s the only knight around who actually thought to swing a sword around! Propeller Knight keeps it simple with a graceful sword he primarily uses for fencing techniques and lunges. But if you want the pinnacle of his arsenal…Heli-Helmet

Equal parts gaudy and versatile, Propeller Knight’s signature propeller is one handy helmet! Aside from your usual defenses, his “Heli-Helm” can spin fast enough to lift him through the skies at high-speeds, even able to keep up with his flagship! And staying in an upright position means he’s always in the perfect fencing stance at all times! But beyond great mobility, it acts as a great offense and defense. By pointing the blades at his enemies, he can suck them in to be shredded or blow them away and into danger! He can even launch attackers from above him with a quick gust, then pierce them once they fall back down. The perfect accessory for the most perfect pirate!
Propeller Dagger

Oh sure, just because some blindfolded bandit pawned it off doesn’t mean this wasn’t PK’s to begin with! Unless he stole it and fashioned the decals after himself…Also plausible. The Propeller Dagger is a nifty little tool that sends the wielder forward in a quick dash, skewering whatever is in their way! It takes some mana to get it spinning, but it’s great for quick jousts!Showdown Items
It’s hip
When trapped within the Mirror of Fate, Propeller Knight gained access to many items to aid him in his fight against other wandering opponents, both potent in power and consistent enough with the rest of the valley to be used by him outside of the mirror.
- Ichor of Fortitude: A potent brew that grants temporary invincibility to anyone who sips from it, harming anyone who touches them.
- Repeller: A magnet that aptly repels anyone who gets too close, threatening to push them into hazards or simply keep Propeller Knight away from any duel not worth his time.
- Berserker Bee: Be it through pheromones, stings, or just great vibes, this bee empowers Propeller Knight’s attacks, sending opponents he hits even further away.
- Eggs: It’s a girl! From tiny eggs, little allies can pop out to help in fights, be it the spike hurling Griffoth, the ravenous Fairy, or the bouncing Birder.
- Fairy Wand: To make all your dreams come true, this special wand turns everyone else around Propeller Knight into pixies! While a bit of pixie dust grants them flight, their physical power is comically diminished and they lose access to all abilities.
- Witherbolt: Summons a sudden bolt of lightning, shocking and briefly paralyzing PK’s foes.
- Chronos Coin: Something he must have plundered from Specter Knight! When flipped, this coin dramatically slows down time for everyone but Propeller Knight.
- Warping Glass: Bowser Shuffle! This mirror swaps around the positions of all fighters at complete random!
- Box of Zorix: A cube that charges up and repeatedly fires BIG LASER
- Bomb Basket: What it says on the tin, a basket full of bombs to toss out nillywilly!
- Propeller Pack: Can never have enough propellers for flying… right?
- Joustus Card: A devastating weapon, flinging a massive blank Joustus card at enemies will imprison and instantly defeat them!
- Slamvil: A giant anvil that smashes through everything in its path and shakes the earth, paralysing anyone feeling it quake.
- Remnant Spiral: A rotating mechanism that fires out magical fireballs in criss-cross patterns.
Pocket Dungeon Items

While trapped inside a different magical prison, Propeller Knight could make use of various items inside the Pocket Dungeon, potent for solving puzzles and fighting enemies.- Potion & Turkey: Mmm, good eatin’. Gulping these down helps to restore any health Propeller Knight may have lost.
- Shield: This humble shield blocks a single attack with no damage! Handy… unless they have-
- Spear: This. Comes with extra range and pierces shields. Guess it ain’t infallible.
- Bombs: They go boom! Comes in flammable and freezing flavors!
- Crystal Clear: EVEN BIGGER BOOM
- Troupple Chalice: Comes with long term healing benefits!
- Blades: Sharp blades that can sharpen your attacks to deal even more damage.
- Ice / Fire Axes: Cuts with these axes can burn enemies over time or freeze them in place.
- Wildcard: A devastating move that completely eliminates all enemies or objects of a certain type.
- Smoke Bomb: Tossing this bomb out will smother the area in smoke, protecting Propeller Knight from all damage.
- Zap Wand: Fires out a blast of electric energy to singe foes in their path.
- War Horn: Can’t stop plundering shit, this loud horn blows away anyone surrounding them.
- Flood Fish: Fittingly summons a massive flood to wash away enemies.
- Monster Potion: Chucking this at an enemy transforms them into a weaker monster for a short duration.
- Throwing Anchor: From one pirate to another, this hefty anchor can be flung in an arc to crash down on enemies.
- Copy Card: Can transform any chain of enemies into a group of other enemies, to those as weak as Beetos.
- Flip Wand: With a flip, this wand can undo any special abilities his opponent has. How this works in a direct fight is…a little vague, but still should apply to an extent.
- Morphy Wand: Every attack from Propeller Knight now has a random attack, how zany!
- Poison Knife: And now every attack fatally poisons you! Zany!
Pocket Dungeon Relics

It ain’t just normal items in the dungeon! Equipable relics can also be found here to power things up even further for Propeller Knight! Notable ones are as follows:- Diamond Dust: Boosts all of the power and durability of items PK has.
- Shockproof Socks: Alongside providing total immunity to electricity, Propeller Knight’s power increases with his movement!
- Fizzle Wand: As Propeller Knight moves, a trail of fire follows behind him, damaging those who step through.
- Bomb Seed Bag: Not only do these seeds cause bombs to grow out of nowhere, but provide a resistance to any and all bombs thrown PK’s way.
- Too Big Bomb: And now those same bombs are even bigger!
- Boomback Jar: And if you get hit by a bomb somehow, you can send out a counter explosion to boot!
- Toad Totem: No dagger required, every attack poisons enemies!
- Coin of Cover: A coin toss that the next attack that strikes Propeller Knight could deal no damage!
- Frosty Fauld: When taking enough damage, Propeller Knight’s next attack can freeze multiple enemies around him.
- Fenix Feather: When defeated, this feather not only revives Propeller Knight, but unleashes a massive blast, damaging and wiping away any enemies around him.
Crew & Allies
Tron Bonne
Teisel and Bon
“Alright boys, ready to sweep this royale off its feet?”
“Ha! I was born ready! Let’s get them, sis!”
“Babuu!”
The other two thirds of the Bonne family name, Tron's older and younger brothers are always by her side to stir up some trouble. As you may have noticed in the section above, the two often aid Tron in piloting larger mechs such as the Balkon GerÀt and Theodore Bruno, but they also have their own unique skillsets separate from their sister.
Teisel is loud and overconfident, a man who fills every room with his sheer presence alone. But don't let his attitude fool you, the man is an extraordinarily skilled strategist and an avid reader, who follows every plan to a T and comes up with new ones on the fly. Meanwhile, Bon is a tiny little weh baby… okay not little, he's the biggest and strongest of the three. In fact, his body is made up of mechanical enhancements that can be swapped out on the fly, even allowing him to hover and shoot missiles. While he may be a baby, he's somehow just as skilled of a pilot as the other two.
All in all, the three siblings together make a just about unstoppable dream team, and its a good luck to anyone who wants to try their hand at outfoxing them.
Marlwolf

Teisel’s most iconic mech that doesn’t belong to his little sister, the Marlwolf is essentially a superpowered drilling machine made because the Bonne’s couldn’t get permission to enter the underground Sub-Gate, so they… decided to drill there instead. Sure. Bombs and energy cannons, you get it.Blitzkrieg

Teisel’s better mech is the Blitzkrieg, an absolute unit of a machine that he pilots to fucking CHUCK things at his enemies. Yeah no thats it, the thing can’t even move on its own it just fucking throws stuff… until the statue is destroyed, because then it can dig through the eart and shoot missiles. Guess the statue was heavy or smth.
Servbots

Small, annoying, loveable, and marketable, the Servbots are everything you'd ever need from bottom class soldiers. There are 40 Servbots in total, and although they appear simple minded, they… okay well, let's be honest, they are, but I'd say it adds to their charm! Regardless, they all actually have their distinct specialities and personalities. Some of them work machinery, some of them specialise in throwing explosives, some handle weapon maintenance, and Servbot #1 was the first one created, meaning he holds responsibility over his younger brothers as a sort of authority figure.
In spite of how she often acts to them, Tron cares deeply for the Servbots and even considers them her children. She can not only somehow differentiate between all of them, but also keeps track of all their interests and hobbies, because gosh dang it she's a good mom. Plus, like any good mom, she sends her kids out into battle with her. The Servbots are capable of piloting any of her vehicles Tron is, allowing for total control of any battlefield.
Servbot Borer
Blumebear
Gun Battery

Stationary artillery tanks that the Servbots operate as walls of defence, firing bombs at targets.Leopold

Leopolds are tanks in the more standard sense, sluggish and slow, it makes up for the lack of speed in the overwhelming firepower from its frontal machineguns and rotating cannon.
Möbelwagen

A tiny version of Teisel’s Marlwolf (yknow, my favourite). Tron built like a hundred of these even though they’re not that good.Hornisse

Flying machines that have one simple design purpose. See them big ol arms? They use those to sweep down and pick up the smaller Bonne mechs and drop them into the field of battle. And when they can’t carry other machines… that’s right, they drop bombs!Such GerĂ€t

These boys come in two different colours, with the red ones firing torpedoes and the yellow ones firing missiles. With these, the Bonne’s can absolutely own the ocean, because what good pirate armada doesn’t have aquatic troops? (don’t let Propeller Knight read this)
Gigachad Servbot

Really good at cleaning.Risky Boots
Tinkerbats
Stay focused, matey
Risky's platoon is composed almost entirely out of the Tinkerbats, a race of… weird, shadowy… humanoid… things. Whatever they are, they serve Risky as her loyal underlings. In fact, Risky supposedly has endless numbers of the fuckers within her crew, which allows her to be pretty versatile in what she forces them to do. The majority of Tinkerbats are foot soldiers, wielding swords or guns in the fight against the half-genie, but they're also capable of manning cannons and miniature ships of their own. They’re pretty independent too, being able to help Risky with constructing new gadgets and even being key players in taking out potential threats to their master, like when one smacked Risky over the head to make her forget about Holly Lingerbean.
While in general, the Tinkerbats are far from the most impressive of underlings, there is strength in numbers. And with the orders from their master, who's to say what they can't accomplish?
Cacklebats

Cacklebats are the fusion of Tinkerbats and evil fucked up pirate magic, being a powered up, more aggressive, and noticeably more flying version of the standard Tinkerbat. These versions are completely feral, following no command or reason, not even Risky's words.
Despite that, Risky is aware of how to create them, and if she is in serious need of stronger forces, she could theoretically let these beasts loose on a battlefield.
Tinkerbeasts

These adorable big goobs have been enslaved by Risky and her Tinkerbats in order to serve as monstrous mounts for her army. Despicable! All they want is to live their normal lives, yet now Risky forces them to attack any half-genie they come across, which they do by spitting out massive rolling boulders.Tinkerbots

When organic minions (at least, I think Tinkerbats are organic? Hard to figure out) aren't up to work, you may need to rely on machinery! At least, I'm assuming that's what the thought process with these guys was, even if they only really walk from left to right to shoot damaging steam out from their head.Sequin Land Wildlife

While it wouldn't be right to call these critters part of Risky's army per say, many of them have been found in her various lairs and hideouts, and seeing as they attack anything on sight, she could certainly use them as a line of defense.
Most of these are like, fish and crabs. They're just animals, honestly. I thought this segment would be more interesting.
Muck Lords

Sealed away by the Pirate Master for their treason, the three Muck Lords were freed by Risky in order to prevent Shantae from ruining her glorious Tremor Engine plan.
MishMash fights with a massive hammer and a body hard as stone, with only explosives being able to make him vulnerable to damage.
FlimFlam commands hordes of minions that can shield him from harm and fight in his stead as he watches his opponents get destroyed.
Hogswaggle… likes to eat cake.
Together they can capture old researchers, assist Risky with operating her Tinkerworm and… run away the moment it looks like they’re going to lose. Hey, the treason thing was warranted after all.
Nega-Shantae

One day, someone asked; "What if Shantae was like, sick and twisted?", and now here we are.
Nega Shantae possesses all of Shantae's magical abilities, but powered up due to being 100% genie, such as her fire attacks, magical projectiles, and belly dance transformations. Specifically, she has showcased the ability to utilise Shantae's elephant, monkey, and mermaid forms, but it's probable to say she could use them all.
Tinkerbrain

Accidentally designed and built by Shantae's uncle after Risky tampered with his blueprints, the Tinkerbrain is an extraordinarily mighty artificial intelligence that Risky uses as her personal AI assistant, managing to utilise it in order to corrupt the Genie Realm.
Outside of possessing brilliant smarts, the Tinkerbrain can also fight for itself, shooting barrages of lasers, tendrils, and electric orbs, as well as having the ability to shield itself with barriers. Should it corrupt the Genie Realm, it can even summon corrupted genies to aid it in combat.
Oh, and of course, if it's killed it explodes into a massive, devastating explosion.
Captain Syrup
Pirate Gooms

Stemming from an offshoot of the Goomba family, Pirate Gooms make up the base of the Brown Sugar Gang. Armed with either a Spear or a trident, they may not be powerful, but they're trying their best and that's what matters.Wanderin' Gooms

Considered "apprentice pirates", these guys don't really do much else than wander back and forth. They've got not a bad bone in their body, so you better leave them alone, okay?Yarikuri Obake

Well good job, now he's dead. Not to unsimilarly to the Boo's that Mario fights, these ghosts will only float towards their targets if their backs are turned. Like the living variants, they carry a spear.Gaugau

Cutthroat and aggressive, these large rats make up a large part of the support that the Brown Sugar Gang has, attacking from a distance by throwing various projectiles.D.D

Resident boomerang tossers, and certified Dangerous Ducks. They're just as comfortable using their weapon in close range as they are from a distance.Bucket Heads

Living snowmen with impeccable fashion senses, Bucket Heads will spit out snowball projectiles that roll across the ground to attack enemies.Punch

They sure doWhite Puffs

Outside of making me question my knowledge of colours, White Puffs will hide across the ground before puffing up if anyone runs across them, sending them flying into a ceiling of conveniently placed spikes.Pikkarikun

Syrup has even the clouds themselves under her employ, shooting down thunderbolts at whoever is unfortunate enough to stay beneath them.Guragura

A species of molerats that have taken a liking to maces, swinging them around like nobody's business.Goboten

Mainly appearing in underwater caverns, the Goboten carry harpoon guns with infinite ammo that they like shooting at people.Ukiwani

These guys look like how I want to feel. Lazy alligator lies on the lazy river. When they sense someone above them, they'll leap up and snap at their prey.YadorÄ

Hermit crabs that crawl across the beach from side to side. If anyone comes close, they'll retreat into their shells and become virtually invincible. Unfortunately, they're weak to fire and shoulder bashes. Good thing they'll never fight someone who can use either of those.Pecans

Somehow, these pecans are capable of spitting explosive mines out of their mouths without any issue. Later, they realised that's unsafe, and moved on to spiked fish projectiles instead.Penguins

My man got censored. In their original appearance, these penguins carried around pints of beer that they'll splash on their enemies, which is apparently so alcoholic that it'll instantly get them drunk. In the western releases, it got swapped out to "insanity bombs" because... that's so much more child friendly, apparently.Flames

Apparently either a fox or a dragon, these enemies fly around and breathe fire out of their mouths to set their targets ablaze.Inamazu

Bipedal, walking, airbreathing, electric catfish that create electric shocks from plugs on their heads. You can't make this up.Kotsuheri

Questionably sentient, these spiked enemies will remain static in place, simply trying to make navigation harder for whoever they're facing. Completely invincible.Wizards

I don't know what Syrup does to get people like these to join her. Standing with a magical wand, they will send energy projectiles flying towards their targets.Yukimaru

Similarly to the Bucket Heads, the Yukimaru are snowmen that spit snowballs. How do they differ, you ask? These guys know how to ski.Nipper Plants & Munchers

While they appear more often serving Bowser, Syrup appears to also have a few dozen Nipper Plants and Munchers just... sitting around on her ship, I guess. They both serve a similar function, which is to simply bite at approaching enemies.Scuttlebugs

Another danger lurking on Syrup's vessel, Scuttlebugs are large arachnids who love to jump around and spray webbing on their enemies. This one was able to web up Mario, Luigi, and Peach all in one shot.Alarm Clock

It's an alarm clock. It's only function is to produce an ear-screeching noise and annoy enemies. Serves as a great distraction.Bobo

An evil bird that Syrup appointed as the head guard to her ship, Bobo has the ability to fly, duh, and attack with his sharp talons. In addition, he can spit out smaller birdies known as "Watches" from his beak, who will home in on targets. Apparently a feminist.Devil's Head

The enormous dome of one of Hell's inhabitants, the Devil's Head serves as a massive obstacle to any target. Alongside the expected levitation, he also has the ability to spit rocks at enemies and attack with a stretchy tongue. The Devil's Head was too tough for any of Wario's attacks to scratch him, forcing Wario to use his own rocks against him. (Random rock > Wario real?)Ghost

Sure is! Ghost is a nefarious and enigmatic specter with an obsession of coins almost rivalling Wario's own. As a piltry poltergeist, he is immune to any physical attacks and has the ability to turn invisible. How do you defeat him then, you ask? Well, what's the only thing that can harm a ghost?
Another ghost!
As- as in you throw another ghost at him and he explodes. Wario picks up the ghostly spear guys from earlier and-
Giant Spear Man

What a LAD! This oversized Goom comes equipped with durable plate armour and a three pronged fork to impale his enemies. Nothing short of an overhead ground pound can damage this fella.Mecha Kuri

When in doubt, turn it into a robot. Similar to the above, Mecha Kuri wields the same weapon, only now outfitted with even more durable armour. The catch? Limited energy. The poor guy can't even be in action for a full minute without needing to recharge.Knight

This here is Knight. He knights things. Syrup appointed him to be the guardian of her personal quarters, so you best believe he's got the skill required. Watch out for that lance, you know very well what he's planning to use it for.Minotaur

Now THIS guy is intense! Not only does he have the brute strength to throw Wario around like a featherweight, but his pointy horns can break any defences, and his thick hide renders him immune to any and all attacks! Wario was only able to kill him by throwing him into an unfortunately placed lava pit. Oh well.
Also apparently in the Kodansha manga he’s canonically homosexual and hates women and I have no idea where to place this information
Penguin

It's a penguin! Working on the outskirts of the army, Penguin seems more interested in doing his own thing than following orders. Regardless, he's got a wicked battle tactic of "punch". Watch out for him.Spiked Koopa

Also known as "Thorn Bro", this koopa joined the Black Syrup Gang after betraying Bowser's forces in pursuit of treasure. In combat, he makes full use of what he's named after, spinning and jumping around in an attempt to impale Wario from all angles. His only weakness is the spot without spikes, as a deadly blow to the belly is enough to knock him out of commission.Denpu

The big lad himself, Denpu is the genie from the lamp, summoned by Syrup in a last ditch effort to take Wario down. As a genie, Denpu is capable of (in theory, mind you) just about anything, easily being able to will a massive castle into existence and manipulate the weather, although his main battle strategy seems to be spamming fireballs. Now, despite all of his magical might, what's the one thing he was unable to do? You guessed it, beat Wario.
In the Kodansha manga, the Genie is given more abilities and rules he must follow. Like when Wario calls for him at the end of the game, he can only grant a wish if he receives the appropriate payment, and if the lamp is destroyed while he is inside him, he becomes unable to grow in size and use his powers until he moves into a new lamp. He also has nine kids he can call to jump his enemies.
Propeller Knight
Beeto

The most basic of mook available, a simple wandering beetle that can be dispatched of by any attack. While they may seem small and weak, they're... yeah, no that's just a fucking beetle.Propeller Rats

For eons, ratkind gazed up at the stars and asked themselves; "is it feasible?". Yes, little rat, yes it is. You made it.Planto

Planto are floating little spring onions who live the exact lifestyle I want to. They're unbothered, don't give a shit about anything around them, and die in one hit to any attack. Inspiring.Floatsome

Cool jellyfish!Voltsome

These ones shock enemies, becoming invulnerable to attacks during their electrified state.Hoverhafts

Alright, finally a proper minion. Hoverhafts take after their leader in many ways, which you probably figured out just by looking at them. With their propeller fans, they hover above targets and go down for sweeping attacks with their axes.Wizzem
Wizzem deez
These magicians wander the world and appear just about everywhere. However, only one specific incarnation of Wizzem has joined Propeller Knight's forces, and that's the Lightning Wizzem. As their name implies, they deal with all things lightning, shooting electric orbs that split apart into several shocking projectiles.
Hover Meanies

The cutest little annoying bastards I've ever seen, Hover Meanies follow their enemies from above and use their fans to try and blow targets off course.
Blubber Meanies

Aw, well that’s just a rude name. Like their… thinner counterparts, they try to blow their enemies around, but they got the offense too, opting to bodyslam their disoriented foes.Dinghy Droppers

Every artillery needs some firepower... but I guess these bozos work too. And damn it, they sure are trying their hardest. The Dinghy Dropper serves as the main backing force of the Flying Machine, dropping volleys of bombs down at enemies to blow them to kingdom come.Cooper

Despite their fierce rivalry, Cooper was seen amongst Propeller Knight's crew during the events of Spectre of Torment, meaning the two do have some sort of way to join forces when needed. Although it's questionable whether or not it would realistically happen, Propeller Knight discarded his villainous ways after the Enchantress' defeat, so it's not out of the question that the rivalry has been buried.
Cooper is as skilled of a pilot as Propeller Knight himself is, piloting the extravagant Glidewing. As seen when allied with Propeller Knight, he's also got a cute little airship!
Fleet Pilots
Aww he thinks he’s a real pilot
Accompanying his larger fleet are Hoverhaft manned airships, far smaller in size but effective nonetheless for air raids. While they lack any real firepower, they’re great for transporting the less aerodynamically gifted, even if that sometimes includes enemies.

Scaling
Tron Bonne
MegaMan Volnutt

Tron can naturally compare to her boyfri- I mean adversary, given how often they came across each other. Although she wouldn't stand a chance by herself, all of her mechs have proven capable of taking on MegaMan numerous times, making them more than a fair comparison.Ancients & Master System Units

At the end of Legends 1 and 2, Volnutt does battle with and defeats MegaMan Juno and Sera respectively, two extremely powerful Master System Units. Given that Volnutt bests them in direct combat in the exact same way he does Tron's machinery, it's fair to say they are on a relative level of power.Previous Mega Men (Debatable)

You might be surprised by this one. While Volnutt has made his presence known as the “Diet Mega Man”, there are actually arguments saying he should actually be amongst the strongest. If those were to be taken into consideration, he would be able to replicate feats from the Mega Men in the timeline before him, namely;
For more specifics on this scaling, see the Clarifications and Answers section.
Risky Boots
Shantae
Captain Syrup
Wario (Debatable)

While by herself, Syrup doesn't stand much of a chance to everyone's favourite garlic muncher, she has operated mechs and commands minions capable of both taking hits from him and damaging him.For more specifics on this scaling, see the Clarifications and Answers section.
Propeller Knight
Shovel Knight
IT’S SHOVEL KNIGHT!
Given Specter Knight, Plague Knight, and King Knight’s showings of being able to best the blue burrower in spite of his repeated successes over the Order, it is fair to assume that Propeller Knight would be similarly capable, given the chance… or campaign.
The Order of No Quarter

The Order of No Quarter is a legion of knights gathered across the land by the Enchantress in order to carry out her nefarious goals. As Shovel Knight defeated them all with equal difficulty and they can all fight on even ground within Shovel Knight Showdown, it’s fair to say that these eight rowdy rapscallions are on relatively even terms.
King Knight…
Specter Knight…
Plague Knight…
Mole Knight…
Tinker Knight…
The Enchantress

While the Enchantress is typically seen as the ultimate force in Shovel Knight’s world, many have been able to do battle against her and the results of her magic, allowing for pretty clear scaling arguments to be made.Kratos (Debatable)
Fuck yeah we’re doing this.
In an encounter exclusive to the Playstation versions of Shovel Knight, the titular hero clashes blades with the Ghost of Sparta himself, Kratos. While his dialogue strangely refers to this being a trial by Athena, Kratos wields equipment from his war against Olympus in God of War 3, and is implied to be on his way to Scandinavia for the events of God of War 2018. This would mean Shovel Knight, and his fellow knights, would be comparable to every feat from the Greek Era of God of War.
For more specifics on this scaling, see the Clarifications and Answers section.
Weaknesses
Tron Bonne
The other blog members were too mean to allow Loka to use Marvel vs Capcom scaling for her.
As much as she likes to say otherwise, Tron has plenty of problems that can spell her doom in a fight. Whilst her machines are certainly impressive, they all share the common trend of blowing up when having taken too much damage. No matter how much plating she slaps on them, she always seems to manage leaving vulnerable spots open in the cracks.
And of course, if said mechs do explode in her face, there’s little Tron can do combat wise by herself. Sure, she has… some guns and, like, a sword that one time, but her on-hand arsenal is clearly not enough to get a win against most enemies, especially not in this royale.
Risky Boots

Risky’s main weakness is honestly her minions. While she herself is capable and cunning, the Tinkerbats aren’t really all that impressive and tend to fuck off whenever something bad happens or when a greater threat arrives. Speaking of, greater threats often get the better of her, such as with the Pirate Master effortlessly taking all of her minions and weapons or the Empress Siren tricking her and stealing her life force, requiring her wife rival Shantae stepping in to save her like the goody little two shoes she is.Captain Syrup

Captain Syrup's greatest weakness… is that she really isn't much of a fighter. She almost entirely focuses on playing keepaway and letting anyone else do her job for her, as seen in both her boss fights and Shake It, and the moment someone can close that gap… it's curtains for her.Propeller Knight
I’m Propeller Knight and I cheated on the blog
Above all else, Propeller Knight’s arrogance is his worst weakness. Specter Knight simply implying anyone could rival him was enough for Propeller Knight to instantly attack him out of rage. This bleeds into his combat style as well, often prioritising style and flair, leaving him open. Even giving his fleet commands gives an opening to wail on him.
Clarifications and Answers
Where the hell did these Legends stats come from???
You may recall eons ago (7 years (jesus christ)) that this little YouTube video “Mega Man Battle Royale” determined Volnutt to be by far the weakest of the Blue Bomber's iterations. And because of that, you might have had a thought while reading through the new stats we've given him here. Said thought might be “what the fuck???”
So yeah people have taken a second look at the series in the past years, and it's safe to say some stuff has been uncovered. Mainly, this stuff comes from the final fight in the series against Sera, the Mother Unit. During this fight, there are two feats performed which have been used to massively buff Volnutt’s power.
The first of these come in the form of Sera's black holes. While one would expect it to just be because it's a dark looking projectile, they actually happen to match every requirement for being considered an actual singularity. It darkens the screen (meaning that it pulls in the light around it), visibly distorts the viewable space near it, pulls its targets in and prevents them from escaping, and is literally called a black hole in the original guidebooks. By all means, it's legitimate, and chucking those bastards nets a nice and easy star level boon to the verse.
The second one is the one that is trickier to quantify; Sera altering the space of the area where she fought Volnutt into a starry void. There are two ways to look at this feat, either as Sera warping the two to this location, or her creating this space outright, both having points for and against them. For instance, we know that Sera can teleport, and this ability isn’t mentioned in any guidebooks or dialogue. However, we’ve also seen her control over celestial bodies before, and given how black holes are the results of stars imploding on themselves, it stands to reason that she could create one if she wished to. In addition, this new area is treated as a physical space and remains even after Sera’s defeat, suggesting it’s not a visual trick or illusion and she did actually bring it into reality to at least some extent.
However, there isn’t really enough evidence to call it 100% viable for certain. Thus, we’ve instead chosen to put this as one of Tron’s highest potential stat-ends. That way, you can expect to see it talked about in the verdict even if it's not the main focus of our analysis on her.
Mega Man lore scaling

Alright, let's tackle this one. Unless you've kept close watch to the inner circle of Mega Men Legends debating (which… I don't know why you would have), the idea of scaling Volnutt to Rock and X seems like it comes out of complete nowhere. But please listen to me when I say that there is actually some ground logic that points to it.
The first one is the one you've most likely heard out of these, that Volnutt's Shining Laser uses X's tech. This is… actually true! The part that makes up the Shining Laser is specifically referred to as the “X-Buster”, using the exact same katakana as X's version. Now, that by itself isn't really enough, and could just be a fun easter egg at the end of the day. No, the real things that point towards a more solid comparison is by examining the logic of both eras.
The narrative intent is clearly for the Ancients to possess incredible technological advancements, and while you can cherrypick and choose examples, feats, contradictions, and statements, it should be on a similar level of those who came before them, especially considering that they are thousands of years in the future. With just one look at the difference in scope between the Classic and X era, who's to say that Legends shouldn't be further superior?
Now, with the arguments for it laid out, the question is simple. Will we be giving Tron access to this scaling?
Well, similarly to Sera’s realm creation, it’s hard to take at face value when it's so difficult to directly quantify. Given the evidence for it, we have decided to do as we did with that and place this scaling as another one of Tron’s high end stats, and delve further into our specific stances on it in the verdict.
Giga Lightning's Mermaid

In spite of it being Shantae's most commonly used speed feat for years, the evading of Giga Mermaid's lightning summon has recently come under contention. The simple reason for this is that while the feat is very easy to see and calculate, we never actually get a cloud source for the lightning, making some people wonder whether or not it could even be considered viable. However, it's just as easy to argue that since it comes straight down from above in a direct pattern, it's just as possible that they’re summoned from the clouds.
It is technically impossible to prove either way, but considering other similar spells in the franchise such as Shantae’s Storm Puffs, which do fire lightning from clouds, the feat should probably be fine. Shantae the Mountain Shaker?

Another contentious Shantae feat that has gotten questions lately, this one definitely being the more interesting one. According to the manual, Shantae’s Quake Dance can move mountains, so how do we translate this to a VS sense?
Weeeeeell you probably can’t. While the Quake Dance does have offensive usages and visibly shakes the screen when used, it doesn’t even come close to “shaking mountains”. In case it wasn’t apparent from a quick glance, the statement is likely hyperbolic and would be far above any other feat in the franchise if taken literally.
Can Syrup actually scale to Wario?

Probably not.
Physically, this isn't exactly surprising. Syrup has never fought against Wario without relying on Denpu or her mechs, so she obviously can't scale to his strength or speed. But do her minions and machines do enough to justify scaling? Again, probably not.
The enemies in the first Wario game are never portrayed as that physically challenging, with most of the boss fights being designed around Wario finding a way to hit the opponent and then having a very easy time finishing the job afterwards. A lot of regular enemies straight up don't have a hitbox unless they have a spear to stab Wario with. And in Wario Land 2, Wario is actively immortal, so most bosses focus on removing Wario from the boss arena and forcing the player to redo the entire thing, rather than actually overpowering Wario.
There is one possible exception to this, in the form of Denpu the Genie. While the boss fight in Wario Land 1 isn't the most impressive, his appearances in Kodansha and Mario-Kun do consistently present him as a genuine challenge to be overcome, so if any Wario scaling can be given out, he'd be the only one to get it. That said, we're still sticking to the decision to focus on feats from the Wario games.
EVENT HORIZON CELESTIAL PLANE

Okay, this might take a second.
In King of Cards, after King Knight bests all others in Joustus, the mysterious Cardia whisks him away to her home planet, on an area known as the Event Horizon. Cardia directly flies him here at incredibly high speeds, providing us with reasonable speed scaling given King Knight promptly beats her in a fight. That’s just speed though, not too bad, right?
IN SHOVEL KNIGHT SHOWDOWN
When the Mirror of Fate trapped many of the valley residents within it, a pocket reality was created containing all aspects of the valley, from the fields to the Tower of Fate… to the damn Event Horizon. Complete with stars and a black hole in the background. Considering all parts of the dimension are connected, this reasonably extends to the very tangible Event Horizon and the stars beyond it, massively increasing the scale of it. And given the Mirror of Fate is directly fought and shattered by the end of the game, it isn’t a stretch to assume everyone else scales to this level of power.
Logically, an argument could be made for this being considered an outlier, since it is far and above any other feat in the series. However, it is a feat that every major character is capable of replicating, and thus doesn't interrupt or cause any troubles in the scaling chain, making it just as easy to argue for. Whether you buy it or not ultimately comes down to personal preference in how to tackle feats of this calibre, but we have chosen to consider it viable.
That fucking Kratos that I hate
(credit to Wlm27)
Here we are again, the part you may have been the most interested in checking out.
To once again set the stage, as part of Shovel Knight's release on Playstation consoles, a secret boss fight was added against the God of War himself. Shovel Knight and Kratos trade blows until Shovel Knight is victorious, with Kratos being impressed by the knight's power and granting him a special shovel that can be transformed into armor.
So with all that said, will we be granting Propeller Knight this Kratos scaling?
Absolutely not.
First of all, while Word of God twitter statements are fun and all, the battle against Kratos is a crossover with no bearing to either franchise's narrative. Accepting Kratos as fact would be opening up a can of worms that frankly would make this blog a complete mess to deal with.
Outside of that… It's just kind of a cop out, isn't it? The Shovel Knight series has plenty of feats to discuss by itself, and relying on a series so overwhelmingly strong that it eclipses everything else is just a really uninteresting way to analyze it.
Summary
Tron Bonne

Advantages:- By far the smartest and most tactical person on the field.
- The best commander here and has the best synergy with her troops.
- While they seem unimpressive, the Servbots abilities to pilot all of her mechs means they can outdo just about all other troops present.
- If given the highest possible stats, she not only massively blitzes everyone on the field, but also matches AP with the highest hitters.
- Even outside her mechs, she's at least capable of taking a good hit.
- Loka is trying their hardest to rig this blog for her
Disadvantages:
- If caught outside one of her mechs, there's little she can do in terms of speed or attack.
- While her wide arsenal of mechs is impressive, many of them have the same weapons and similar functions.
- Arguably has the least experience simply due to her age.
- Lacks any notable hax or resistances.
- Weed addiction
- Haha Legends 3
Risky Boots

Advantages:- Stronger than Syrup and Tron…
- Only rivalled by Propeller Knight in close quarters combat skill.
- Anti-Genie equipment could easily counter Denpu, using him to Risky’s advantage.
- Equipment like the Tremor Engine allows for superb battlefield control.
- Is really good at manipulating others…
- toxic yuri
Disadvantages:
- …but outmatched by Tron's machines and Propeller Knight.
- Lacks means of dealing with non-genie opponents instantly.
- There’s very little her arsenal can do against foes on her level or above.
- Her minions are not that great.
- …but is likely to be caught off guard by stronger foes
Captain Syrup
Advantages:
- Funnily enough, probably has the most general experience.
- Biggest armada and it's not even close.
- Denpu could possibly be a win button…
Disadvantages:
- Incredibly unimpressive physically.
- Majority of her forces are fodder tiers.
- …if he weren’t so easily countered by Risky.
- Lacks like… any debate-turning equipment other than Denpu.
- Missing in action since 2008
- Sexual harassment charges
Propeller Knight
Advantages:
- His flight and gear makes him the best outfitted for close ranged combat… not like it’s a close contest.
- Easily outclasses most of the royale in stats and matches the highest in power.
- Pocket Dungeon provides a myriad of transmutation hax, fatal poisons, and other goodies.
- EVENT HORIZON - CELESTIAL PLANE
Disadvantages:
- His armada fucking sucks.
- Overconfident to a fault.
- Kratos scaling is stupid and dumb and we’re not using it
- French (derogatory)
the May slander corner
Verdict

4th: Captain Syrup

What? The Mario character got dead last? Surely this is some out-of-season April Fools joke, right?
Surprisingly, Syrup had almost nothing going for her. Her army is filled with fodder mooks that have no real advantages, her machines and equipment are underwhelming compared to even Propellor Knight, and her physicals are basically nonexistent. Wario scaling isn’t even really permitted based on how hands-off her fights with him are, and even then a lot of Wario’s best arguments come from well after his fights with Syrup.
Denpu was her silver lining, in actuality. A genie with a direct planetary feat, much more reliable scaling to Wario, and a lot more hax than she would normally get… really, in most other contexts, Denpu would have been enough to outright win the fight altogether.
It sure is a shame that one of her opponents has an extensive history of dealing with genies and has the tech required to just outright steal Denpu from her, even potentially buffing him beyond his already impressive capabilities. With her trump card turned right back in her face, Syrup has no major win conditions to deal with a single one of her opponents, let alone all three at once. Ironic how her most powerful weapon ended up being her greatest downfall.
While there is the nagging possibility that we missed something in the Kodansha manga that would massively buff Syrup, the point still stands, generally, that both herself and her troops were still routinely outmatched by Mario there with little to no difficulty, making scaling herself quite a generous boon. Denpu would still be just as vulnerable to being captured by Risky as ever, regardless of any massive strength or speed buffs that may be hidden in the annals of Kodansha’s lost media, so these buffs would only serve to benefit Risky, funnily enough.
Just like her namesake, the Captain was moving through this royale like molasses, comfortably sticking herself in the bottom slot.
3rd: Risky Boots

Risky was sitting in last place for a majority of this blog’s production, so we’re at least proud of her for clutching out the bronze medal.
Between the three remaining combatants, Risky is the only one without any major cosmological arguments, although her feats are impressive in a vacuum. While capturing Denpu would at least allow her to somewhat compete with the big dogs, that’s assuming she has a chance to capture him before one of the other two just vaporizes Denpu. This largely depends on how you interpret Denpu’s stats; using his vaguely planet-level low ends makes it somewhat trivial for either frontrunner to take him out, but using the Universal high end of the Black Jewel makes Denpu incredibly hard to beat down by force assuming you’re using standard ends for both. In fact… Denpu with generous ends is the strongest force on the battlefield, giving Risky a genuine shot at victory…
…however, that’s assuming that Propellor Knight doesn’t simply use one of his hax options to remove Denpu from the field, or that he or Tron don't use their massive speed advantages to just outright nab the lamp from her. Both of which are possibilities. While Denpu is a massive advantage for Risky, there’s no guarantee that she can use him effectively, or even at all.
…so, without Denpu, what can Risky do? Well, for starters, she’s got quite the impressive mechs. The Tinkertank in particular is a standout with theoretically endless fuel, and that’s not even her only option. The Tremor Machine does provide wonderful AoE that can let her clear out a lot of the riff-raff on all sides, and she’s certainly one of the better actual fighters on the field, only really being comparable to Propeller Knight. But, when you boil it down to brass tacks, there really isn’t much that Risky can do to actually compete with those placed above her. She simply lacks the raw firepower, or a means around it, to compete with the others without a very specific situation that could be prevented with careful consideration.
She put up a great revolution, but her revenge can wait for another fight. This battle was a risk that didn’t quite pay out.
2nd: Tron Bonne
This one hurts.
Tron Bonne vs Propeller Knight is probably not the final matchup that most people were anticipating, but it is rather thematic that the two air pirates would be the ones to triumph over their predominantly oceanic opponents.
Between the two, the primary concern is absolutely going to be actually deciding on a stat end for Tron. She’s got multiple high end arguments from both Sera and the X Era, reaching different tiers that can put her anywhere from comparable to outright stomping Propeller Knight. Given her innate and, frankly, currently unmatched leadership and commanding skills, her troops can absolutely make short work of any other armada on the battlefield considering how in sync she always is with her brothers and kids. However, without these avenues of scaling she falls behind drastically; no amount of masterful tactical acumen or genius thinking is going to curve an AP gap that large in your opponent’s favor. She has the knowhow to go for the kill immediately, but that’s much easier said than done.
Accepting Sera’s high ends but not X Era scaling (which seems to be the general consensus amongst the team) equates to stats roughly evening out, as both have very comparable starry sky scaling. At that point, Propeller Knight would likely be able to take the victory through his superior combat experience, arsenal, and hax options. Tron has no real counter to transmutation, fatal poisons, or just… being deleted, and while the Servbots and her massive array of mechs would make the work difficult for him, weaving through attacks and flying over the battlefield is exactly what the knight excels at, isn't it?
It should be noted that it’s very possible to argue Tron’s stats as being much higher or much lower than this. There’s no necessarily “correct” interpretation, and it was an incredibly tricky call to make, but a call had to be made at the end of the day. Feel free to come to your own opinion on that front.
Despite her firepower and ability to command, Tron surprisingly lacks the means to deal with foes that won’t simply fall to brute force. So, when put up against an opponent who can match her firepower singlehandedly, she’d be fighting an uphill battle.
Tron serv’d up a mean offense just to come up slightly short in the end. The sky’s only got room for one…
1st: Propeller Knight
This guy wasn’t even supposed to be here, man.
He was added as a joke. As a bit. Nobody expected him to actually put up any sort of numbers, let alone win the whole damn thing, but we suppose this is the reality we live in. It should’ve been May, god damnit.
Let’s go ahead and get his main disadvantage out of the way first: his army. God, Propeller Knight’s army sucks. Two ships, if you’re even willing to call the Dinghy Dropper a ship, and a motley crew of lackluster common enemies is not really enough to write home about, especially compared to the magnitude of Syrup’s crew, the versatility of Risky’s vehicles, and both for Tron. In terms of an armada, Propeller Knight is sorely lacking.
However, Propeller Knight himself is simply too much of a unit to let a subpar army drag him down.
Aside from potentially Risky, Propeller Knight is far and away the best close-quarters combatant on the roster. He’s the only one actually wearing armor, for one, and he’s clashed blades with some incredibly skilled and seasoned knights. With combat skills to rival Shovel Knight and surprisingly good crowd control with his wind, cannonballs, and relics, Propeller Knight is likely to be able to turn a majority of forces on the battlefield into mincemeat.+But then there’s the matter of dealing with Tron’s forces, who aren’t as easy to beat down with pure strength, speed, and skill. And boy does Propeller Knight have options!
Pocket Dungeon provides Propeller Knight with a plethora of prized pieces that can puncture the plucky pirate’s posse. The Copy Card and the Monster Potion can transform any group of foes into relatively harmless Beetos, the Wild Card can completely eliminate all instances of a single enemy (which would likely be the Servbots, in this scenario), and the Poison Knife can fatally poison anything stabbed by it. That’s not even mentioning the various other effects these relics can have, such as calling massive waves or powerful bolts of lightning that can let him clear out the battlefield in a plethora of different ways.
Tron is smarter and more tactical, sure, but when a foe can invalidate a massive chunk of your army and then run at you in full combat gear, there isn’t a lot you can do in terms of planning to really beat that. The Order of No Quarter’s aerial assailant had no issues soaring above the competition and stealing the first place slot, just as any pirate worth their booty should.
